Biogas
BEKON Dry Anaerobic Digestion

A Versatile Energy Source
With BEKON technology, organic material can be fermented using either continuous or batch (discontinuous) processes. The resulting biogas can then be used to generate electricity or upgraded to Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) in the form of biomethane, CNG, or LNG.
Our Processes
The two BEKON anaerobic digestion processes are designed for specific demands. You can choose the option that suits you best.
Discontinuous Process
- Small and medium sized facilities with manual operation
Continuous Process
- Automated large-scale facilities with highest outputs
The Input Material
One of the key advantages of BEKON technology is its ability to handle a wide variety of substrates. Even materials with high dry solids content can be digested efficiently—without the need for complex pre-treatment. In many cases, simple shredding is all that’s required.
Source Separated Organics
- Source separated organics
- Restaurant and kitchen waste
- Food waste
Green Waste
- Grass Clippings
- Green Waste
- Yard waste
- Leaves
Organic Fraction of Municipal Solid Waste (OFMSW)
- 0-80mm organic waste from MSW
Other Organic Waste Materials
- Expired fruits and vegetables from supermarkets
- Wastes from fruit and vegetable production
- Waste from agricultural production
Modular Design
Both processes can be adjusted to your annual material quantity due to the modular design of the BEKON concept. For that, the number of the fermenters will simply be adjusted precisely to your requirements. The modular designs make it also much easier to expand the facility through additional fermenters if you have an unexpected increase of material.
